“A major renovation of an old cottage, whilst living at a distance, was made much less stressful by Struan and Rachel Armitage and their team. Their professionalism, attention to detail, quality of work and co-ordination of external contractors and suppliers meant that we could be assured corners were not being cut or problems covered up. "We started working directly with Armitage after parting ways with our architect. Struan was very helpful and pragmatic with his suggestions and we ended up with more affordable plans and a better lay out. Despite us living almost 5000 miles away for most of the works and pretty much every piece of original timber needing replacement, the project ran smoothly and we couldn’t be happier with the result and the quality of Armitage’s work. Nanette and I purchased ‘Benview’ in the Summer of 2015 with a view to opening a ‘Boutique’ B&B - somewhere a little bit special with fine views, peace, and of course relaxing comfort. In short the whole of the upstairs needed to be scooped out and reconfigured into 3 plush ensuite rooms, the kitchen and central heating brought into the 21st Century and entire property appropriately insulated. The things that really impressed us through this extensive referb was the sense that the Armitage's understood the final goal-not just another rural  house upgrade-but rather something that would form the basis of a distinctive and hopefully successful business. The quality of the upgrade work undertaken and the continual attention to detail and quality contributed immeasurably to what we hope will continue to be a sought after location for many years to come!
